A Grandmother's Recipe. A Family's Legacy.
Mithila Thekua was born from a simple wish — to bring the authentic taste of home to every Indian, wherever life has taken them.

In every Maithil household, Thekua isn't just a snack — it's a sacred tradition. Prepared during Chhath Puja, offered to the Sun God, and shared with love across generations.
Our grandmothers never reached for palm oil or vanaspati. They used only pure desi ghee — because that's what gave Thekua its soul: the golden colour, the melt-in-mouth richness, and that unmistakable aroma that fills an entire home.
Somewhere along the way, the market forgot. Mass-produced Thekua started cutting corners with cheap oils. The taste of our childhood began to fade.
We started Mithila Thekua to bring it back. Handcrafted in small batches in Bihar, using the same recipe, the same pure ghee, and the same care our grandmothers put into every piece. For every Bihari and Jharkhandi far from home. For every NRI who misses the taste of Chhath. For every Indian who values real, honest food.
No palm oil. No shortcuts. Just pure tradition — the way it was always meant to be.
